John Sofis Scheft, Esquire

John Sofis Scheft, Esq. Attorney Scheft has been consulted by law enforcement, municipal and state officials concerning the implementation of decriminalization (2008), medical marijuana (2012), and now legalized and commercialized marijuana (2016). Scheft also represented voters opposed to medical and commercial marijuana before the Supreme Judicial Court in the groundbreaking cases of Josephine Hensley v. Attorney General, 474 Mass. 651 (2016) and Heidi Heilman v. Attorney General, SJ-2012-0211 (Single Justice). He is an author of The Massachusetts Drug Cases Manual, which is used by drug investigators throughout the Commonwealth. During the campaign on Question 4, Scheft was a featured speaker on numerous panels concerning the future of marijuana legalization.
